Piggybacking on my post yesterday about resolutions, today Olive Box proposed a great idea via rawforbeauty.com for 2013. It is easy to forget the best moments of the year, so why not keep track of them and set aside time at the end of the year to remember the fun you had?
The idea is to celebrate the little things that happen - every time something good occurs, jot it down on a piece of paper and drop it in a mason jar or similar vessel. At the end of the year, you'll have a jar full of memories that will likely make you laugh and help you reflect on the year.
If you live in New York, the Pink Olive shop in the East Village is giving away mason jars during the month of January for the project. I've got an empty mason jar waiting for me... last night, we were present for a surprise midnight New Year's Eve wedding (where all guests were required to be wearing a wig or mustache) so I think that will be fun memory #1 for the jar.
