If you've come expecting photos of a beautiful, crusty baguette that I baked myself, I am afraid you will be disappointed. However, I do want to share an awesome innovation that I read about today, a baguette vending machine! Jean-Louis Hecht thought of the idea when he realized people often wanted to purchase bread after hours and on holidays. The machine contains partially cooked bread and then the baguette finishes baking within seconds of you placing an order. I'm not sure this would be useful in the United States where there is always a grocery store open somewhere, but I love this idea. You can watch a video and see the machine in action here.
